Handmade White Oak Bokken - Iwama Style

We are pleased to announce the availability of these beautiful handmade bokken (wooden training swords). 

This European white oak bokken is approximately 550g (19.5 ounces) in weight and approximately 103 cm (40.5 inches) long. Size and weight vary slightly. Flat tip (no point) as is the Iwama tradition for safer training. Branded with “Aiki” in kanji on the handle.  

  

This bokken was designed and made to be lighter in weight than the typical Iwama-style bokken.  Ideal for smaller persons or anyone tired of swinging a heavy bokken.

 

The wood is sealed with one coat of clear finish.   

 

This is not a cheapie, it is a quality bokken.  Given the hassles in importing these, the price is a real value!  If you are serious about bokken training, you need a quality bokuto.

This would also make a fine holiday gift for your aikido friends and family!
